Care

•  Light: Bright, indirect light to partial or filtered shade. Protect from intense direct afternoon sun.
• Water: Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist during active growth, allowing excess water to drain freely. Avoid waterlogged conditions.
•  Humidity: Performs well in moderate to high humidity.
• Soil: Use a rich, organic, well-draining potting mix.
• Temperature: Prefers warm conditions and should be protected from cold temperatures.
• Growth: Low-growing and clumping, spreading gradually through rhizomes.
• Dormancy: May naturally lose its foliage and enter dormancy. Reduce watering while dormant, and resume regular watering as new growth appears.
• Pet Safety: Pet toxicity information for Kaempferia marginata is not well established. Keep out of reach of pets as a precaution.
